We’re Getting a New Series
The 90’s… what a time to be alive! Most anime fans remember the space comedy that debuted in 1993. Some do not, but all in all, The Irresponsible Captain Tylor was a rarity for its time. The show was a popular parity of all space operas, which continued on to become a successful genre of the decade.
Now, the anime series is set to be released as an anime short on July 11th in Japan, under the new series title, Musekinin Galaxy ☆ Tylor. Not only will the series be revived, the staff promises that the series will have it’s own unique twist.
That’s all a fan could ask for, right? Well, in any case, here is the premise of Irresponsible Captain Tylor for those who may not be familiar.
Justy Ueki Tylor has his life already planned out. He plans to join the military, serve a few good years out of risk, and get retire with a lofty pension check. However, he soon found himself in the wrong place at the wrong time and wound up saving the life of an esteemed Admiral.
Now, as a “reward”, Tylor has been placed as a captain on the space cruiser, Soyokaze. With no leadership abilities at all, his rag-tag team doesn’t like him. However, Tylor’s team has been tasked with defeating the mighty Raalgon Empire.
Serving as Earth’s last hope, Tylor will either live up to the occasion or the whole world is doomed.
